Spending time with your kids, prepping, gathering to eat and cleaning up is a gift you give to your kids. It's good parenting. It shows them how to make time to take care of themselves and others. It teaches them invaluable socials skills, and the pleasures of sharing the burdens of the day to day drudgery to free up time for family fun.
I love your writing. I have a monogrammed robe, spend about an hour cleaning our kitchen and am here because my Dad left China and came to Canada.
Jared this made me laugh out loud on a day when I really needed to.
Thank you and Happy Birthday !!
An essay of soul piercing brilliance, its honesty, and enlightened and universal yet utterly personal perspective, another Youngian triumph.

Next...laundry!
Fun Sunday read.
I am still living my teen years and refuse to grow up from that.
I am uninspired by ‘today’ Hahah.
In fact I’m going to a smashing pumpkins/janes addiction concert next week in MTL.
It’ll probably be a burnt out gathering but one I’m willing to go to MTL on a Wednesday night for! Haha
I’m looking forward to the next essay.
:)
